Investor in People Re-designation We are very pleased to announce that the College was re-designated as an ‘Investor in People’ organisation. This award is given every three years in recognition of the high value the College puts in its staff and their development.The process took place over two days and involved twenty five staff from the College being interviewed by an external assessor. Students Provide Fresh Food A newly established vegetable garden is currently supplying healthy, organic fresh vegetables for staff and students alike. Kitchen staff use vegetables daily that were planted by students as part of the College’s curriculum enrichment week during July.The garden is tended to by some of our most vulnerable students and managed by Sue De Boo. Eco-schools Award The College eco-club has now been running since September and has been a roaring success. The students have been working hard and have now been awarded the Eco-Schools bronze award.As part of qualifying for the award we carried out a survey of all year 7 and 8 students and found out that the students and staff were keen to start recycling around the college and wanted to introduce more wildlife into the area. Shadowing Carnegie A group of students are shadowing the Carnegie book prize.  The Carnegie prize is one of the most prestigious awards and students are asked to shadow the event by reading and choosing selected books and which author they think should win.The students will choose which books they like best and their choices will be posted on the Carnegie web site along with their book reviews and their group picture.  A panel of librarians will make the final choice and it will be announced in June.IconEdit Document Properties

Year 11 students leaders set the standard Members of the year 11 student leadership group have been visiting the year 10 tutor groups. Eggbuckland Wins Prestigious National Award for Innovation We are proud to announce that we were singled out as being the most innovative in our communications with the wider community at the recent Specialist Schools and Academies Trust Conference in Birmingham.
We won the award for being the first school in the country to develop an electronic Individual Learning Plan (eILP), and this has been the focus of our really successful Review Day meetings with parents and students.

Artist in Residence Adam Milford was invited in to the Art department as an Artist in Resident.  He displayed some of his own abstract oil paintings in CS18.Adam is an ex-student who studied Fine Art at Liverpool.  It was exciting to have him back in College, working with 6th Form students and he was an inspiration for Key Stages 3 and 4 students.IconEdit Document Properties

25 Years of Eggbuckland - Gala Dinner On 18th September at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel 100 current and past members of the staff held a reunion to celebrate 25 years of Eggbuckland.   The College opened on its wonderful site in September 1979 and has been over-subscribed ever since.  IconEdit Document Properties
New Synthetic Turf Pitch We are now the proud owners of a floodlit multi-purpose sports pitch thanks to a £250,000 investment from the New Opportunities Fund. Industry Day 2004 Design Technology As part of Y9 Industry Day technology once again worked with BAe Systems. Peewits Over the summer most of you stayed in Plymouth, even the UK.
